Atlantic Ocean Crossing World Record Attempt
My name is Duncan Roy AKA ‘Rowing Roy’. In December 2017 I will be attempting to break the world record for a mainland to mainland crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. Rowing 3,800 miles from Portugal to French Guiana. The aim is to complete this in less than 48 days 4 hours and 30 minutes, which is the current world record.
Skippered by experienced ocean rower and adventurer Dutchman, Ralph Tuijn our crew consists of 5 rowers.
Ralph holds the current world record for the mainland to mainland Atlantic Crossing and with our new team he wants to smash his own record!
I will be raising money and awareness for The Royal British Legion which is an amazing charity that provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans, and their families.
